Shipping Cost Calculator adds a powerful new feature to your store allowing your customers to calculate the total cost of their order before they sign in or even start to checkout.

After installation, a new button will appear on the shopping cart page which displays a pop-up shipping calculator. After enter just a few pieces of information, your customer will see a list of available shipping methods and their associated costs. Selecting any one of the shipping methods will update a display of the total cost for the order, including taxes and handling charges if any. All this occurs before the checkout process is started and without signing on or creating an account.

Advanced Features

If you own a license to the GeoMonster Web Services, Shipping Cost Calculator will turn on advanced features to make the calculator even easier for your customers. In most cases, the only field they enter is the ZIP code! Using GeoMonster Web Services, Shipping Cost Calculator will automatically select the correct country for your customer using their IP address. If the destination country is the US, Canada, or Great Britain, Shipping Cost Calculator will hide the state/region field and use GeoMonster Web Services to select the correct state or region based on the ZIP code alone.

Customization

Shipping Cost Calculator uses the same theme you have selected for your store. Buttons are supplied for all the standard themes. Creating a customized version of Shipping Cost Calculator is as simple as creating 2 new button images.
